New Season: Autumn

After a week or six in which we split up for holidays to view the mountains, some of us in Norway and others in Austria, we are now looking forward to our first full weekend of the new season!

To stay in shape we've played a very nice gig at the 'Irish Spirit Festival' in Alkmaar in between Dennis' holidays. Although the weather forecast was not in favour of an open air festival the audience didn't stay at home. And coming out to this nice patch of green surrounded by old trees had proved them to be a good idea. During our soundcheck, we were given the honour of starting the festival, the first rays of sunlight broke through and banished the drizzle. Apart from a few more drops of rain the weather was great, allowing us to enjoy Kilshannig and Harmony Glen from a blanket in the grass after our own gig.

The sound engineers were so kind to record our gig and we must say we are pleased with the result. We will soon upload some of these recordings!

The coming weekend we will first play Eetkaffee Mozes in Goirle at the Arthur's day celebration. We have never played there before but the glimpse we caught of the place on the website looks really nice and the people sounded very enthusiastic over the phone. We will spend the night somewhere in or outside of town and head over to Malden the next day where we will play in Accordion Museum 'de Muse'. De Muse is a great place to play, with a kind of folkclub like setting. We played there last year and were delighted by the audience and the athmosphere. No doubt this year will also be great!

We hope to see you somewhere along the way and join in for a chat or a pint. But of course mainly to enjoy the music together with us.
